Club Play
One dated night for that Group — the participant list, optional scores, and email at /club-play
Leaderboard
The captain opens or closes it. Open allows score entry and updates that Group's standings. Closed finishes the night with no scores
Session (result)
Completed archive after you finish a Club Play — Rankings → Sessions
Members and captains add names up to the start of live play. The admin sets the group on Court Groups. Events stay the tournament signup pages.
How the pieces fit
Group = the name, type, time range, courts, and captains.
Club Play = the night. The captain chooses formats, opens or closes the leaderboard, and emails the list.
Sessions = the completed night. Standings update only when the leaderboard was open and scores were entered.
Admin → captain → members
Admin On Admin → Court Groups, adds a group with a new name, or starts from a saved group so its captains copy into the new one. The saved schedule stays, and its courts stay on that group. Checking a court adds it here and leaves it on any other group that already has it. Sets the schedule: type, dates, weekdays, time, and captains. Can email the captains that the group is ready. That link opens Club Play with this group already selected. Save shows Save confirmed.
Admin Ensures players are on the sport roster and profile rules are set.
Captain Opens or closes the leaderboard, turns on formats, and can email everyone, a few people, or one person.
Members Add a name, or have a captain add one, until live play starts.
Captain Starts live play. Enters scores only while the leaderboard is open.
Captain If someone must leave, clicks Replace on that checked-in player, searches the sport roster, and picks who takes the spot. Scored games stay with the player who left. The new member takes unscored courts for the rest of the night. Someone already in the session cannot take the spot. Both are recorded when the session ends.
Captain Completes the Club Play.
Everyone Reads Sessions for that night. That Group's standings and the club Leaderboard update when the captain had the leaderboard open and scores were saved.
What the admin does
Admin → Court Groups. Add a group with a new name, or start from a saved group to copy its captains. The saved schedule stays, and its courts stay put. Check the courts this group should use. A court can stay on more than one group. Skill band if needed, then the play schedule. Optional email opens Club Play with this group already selected. Save shows Save confirmed. Use Edit on the list to change a saved group's dates. Tournaments stay on Admin → Events.
Roster + profile rules so members can be added to a Group.
Later: use Edit on the list to change that saved group's name, type, time, or captains. Adding another group does not replace it.
Admins can also run Club Play themselves (site nav, Rankings Captain tab, or Admin → Club Play).
What the captain does
Opens Club Play. Their group is already selected. If they captain more than one, a menu switches which one is open.
Opens the leaderboard when this Group should record scores. Leaves it closed when the night is just play.
Turns on king of the court, round robin, ladder, and/or Swiss, and whether the Group is singles or doubles.
Sees the participant list. Emails all, some, or one. Adds a name up to live play.
At the courts: Start live play. Enters court scores only if the leaderboard is open, then ends the session. If someone must leave, Replace them: scored games stay with the player who left.
Backup: Captain tab → enter W/L/points manually when there was no live Club Play.
A one-off Club Play can still be started under Seasonal Standings when the night is not on the weekly calendar.
What members do
Be on the sport roster with a complete profile.
Open Club Play and add yourself or another member to the Group until live play starts.
Play. Watch scores when the captain has the leaderboard open. The captain enters scores.
After the night: Sessions, and that Group's standings when scores were recorded.
Casual play (not Club Play): When there was no live Club Play night, members may use Rankings → Submit results; other players then confirm via the Confirm tab, wallet QR, or 4-digit code. That peer-confirm path does not run during a live Club Play session. Events linked to seasonal standings are another optional path (admin scores the roster).

Worked example — Men's Doubles
Admin opens Court Groups, names it Men's Doubles, checks the courts, sets Saturdays 8–10, and assigns captains. The ready email opens Club Play with Men's Doubles already selected.
The captain opens the leaderboard, turns on round robin, and adds members.
The captain can email the list. At the courts they score live. If someone must leave, Replace keeps scored games with the player who left.
The captain ends the night. The Group standings update because the leaderboard was open.
